Leave Ghorepani by 4:30 AM for the 45-min ascent. Bring headlamp and warm layers – it's freezing at dawn.

Respect Local Culture

Ask before photographing people, walk clockwise around stupas, remove shoes before entering homes/temples.

Avoid AMS

Poon Hill is only 3,210m – risk low. Still, walk slowly, drink 3L water daily, avoid alcohol.
