Carry 60,000–70,000 NPR cash – NO ATMs after Soti Khola. This is the #1 mistake trekkers make.
Expect 3–4 days without Wi‑Fi, phone, or charging (Samdo to Bimthang). Plan accordingly.
Start 4–5 AM – afternoon winds are dangerous. Wear ALL your warm layers.
Rest day at Samagaon (Day 9) is MANDATORY – do not skip. Walk slowly, drink 3–4L water daily.
Allow 1–2 extra days – do not book flights the same day you return to Kathmandu.
Must cover helicopter evacuation up to 5,500m+. Manaslu rescue can cost $5,000–10,000.
